>Tool Chronos, an online database to enter information about
social and political events. It is a tool engineered from the Euromovements network.
It is focused actually at the European level and with a time frame limited from
1994. You can use it, entering a new event, searching for data and information,
writing personal comments for each event. If you want to enter new information
inside the database you have to register first. For any other action you don't
need to register. The project is at its first demo version, you

>Synopsis
Chronologies are an exercise of mapping the
beats of collectives actions, the frequencies and rhymes of desires, necessities
and actions develop by a group of actors involved with social transformation. Chronologies
are a tool to communicate resistances and fights to the rest of the world; it
is used by actors inside social movements and activist research. It is a way to
listen and feel the rumours of resistances with their specific histories, reasons,
goals and means.
This database is
thought to help activist communities and social movements to develop their collective
memory and to see how their own collective memory sum up and join other dynamics
of transformation elsewhere. The Chronos project is also a tool so people can
explore and learn more about social and political mobilizations. Learning about
each event: When, where, why, what and who? The user of the database can search
for those informations, he can check for the existing available online qualitative
documents related to the event, and he can also add its comments, insert new events
or develop his subjective narrative about how significant was this event for him/her.
In that sense, the chronos project is a tool to insert factual information about
social and political events, it is also a tool to organize and compile qualitative
documents that are building the knowledge generated by the event, and it is a
place where to develop and share storytelling in a subjective way. The
result of those three levels is a technopolitic composite that allows its users
to travel around the stories drawn by the collective memory of the resistances,
struggles and fights. In a certain way, this tool is like science fiction, uchrony,
like folk resistant songs, like call for actions, and its contents are collective
names composing the cultural activist imaginaries moving around. Leaving, freezing
and reappearing like shiny phoenix. Our hearts, hears, eyes, hands, feeling ideas,
watching tactics, smelling emotions, trying to build records and documentaries
about the vital energies that pushed through social and political mobilizations;
making of each event a swarm of personal and collective, political, philosophical
and technical praxis. How do we communicate those things? - sympathy, decision,
seriousness, dignity, rage, people behaving together in name of social transformation
anyway anywhere.. >Links Visit
